Getting Started
Click "Sign up" on the homepage to register with your email address, or sign in with Google for instant setup. You'll be guided through a quick onboarding to set your travel preferences.
Yes. Roamly is free and includes trip planning, itinerary building, collaboration, and our Discover feature. Some AI-powered features may have usage limits on the free plan.
From the Trips page, click "New Trip" and enter your destination and travel dates. You can optionally add collaborators and a cover image. Once created, you'll land on your trip dashboard where you can start building your itinerary.
Absolutely. Browse our Templates section to find curated trip plans for popular destinations. Click "Use Template" to copy it into a new trip that you can customize freely.
Roamly works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser up to date.
Planning & Itineraries
In your trip's Itinerary tab, click "Add Activity" on any day. You can search for places, add custom activities, or drag saved ideas from your Ideas bank. Activities can be reordered by dragging.
Yes. Click the "Share" button on any trip to invite collaborators by email. You can grant view-only or full edit access. All changes sync in real time, so everyone stays on the same page.
When browsing Discover or searching for places, click the bookmark icon to save an idea. Saved ideas appear in your trip's Ideas bank and can be dragged into your itinerary whenever you're ready.
Your itinerary is automatically organized by day based on your trip dates. You can drag and drop activities between days, reorder them within a day, and add notes or time estimates to each activity.
Open the trip and click the settings icon in the header. From there you can edit the trip details (name, dates, cover image) or delete the trip entirely. Deleted trips cannot be recovered.
No. You can create as many trips as you like. Past trips are preserved in your trip history so you can revisit them any time.
Discover & AI Features
Discover is Roamly's AI-powered recommendation engine. It helps you find travel inspiration by surfacing curated content, social media picks, and community recommendations tailored to your interests and destination.
Roamly learns your preferences from your travel style settings, saved ideas, and browsing patterns. You can also fine-tune your preferences in Settings to get more relevant suggestions.
Yes. Use the search bar in Discover to look for specific activity types like "street food in Bangkok" or "hiking near Lisbon." Roamly's AI understands natural language queries and returns relevant results.
Top Picks are a curated selection of the highest-rated and most relevant recommendations for your destination, scored based on your personal preferences and travel style.
Go to Settings and select the Preferences tab. Here you can set your travel style, budget range, activity interests, dietary preferences, and more. These settings influence all your Discover recommendations.
Flights & Accommodations
Yes. The Flights & Accommodations tab in your trip lets you search for flights between your home city and destination. Results include prices, airlines, and layover details to help you compare options.
In the Flights & Accommodations tab, switch to the Stays section to browse hotels and accommodations near your destination. You can filter by price, rating, and proximity to your planned activities.
Roamly helps you find and compare options, then links you directly to the booking provider to complete your purchase. This way you always get the provider's own customer support and booking protections.
Yes. After booking through an external provider, you can add your flight details to the trip timeline so everything is organized in one place alongside your itinerary.
Map & Exploration
The Map tab in your trip displays all your planned activities as pins on an interactive map. You can explore nearby places, see how activities cluster by day, and discover new spots to add to your itinerary.
Yes. Click any point of interest on the map to see its details, then save it to your Ideas bank or add it directly to a day in your itinerary.
The map focuses on helping you discover and visualize where your activities are relative to each other. For turn-by-turn directions, we recommend using Google Maps or Apple Maps with the addresses from your itinerary.
Places need a valid address or coordinates to appear on the map. If you added a custom activity without a location, it won't have a map pin. Edit the activity and search for the venue to add location data.
Account & Settings
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page, then enter your email. You'll receive a reset link that expires after 24 hours. If you signed up with Google, you manage your password through your Google account.
Yes. Go to Settings and update your email in the Profile section. You'll need to verify the new address before the change takes effect.
Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then go to Profile. Click the camera icon on your avatar to upload a new photo. We support JPEG and PNG formats.
Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom of the Profile section, and click "Delete Account." This permanently removes all your trips, data, and preferences within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
Roamly stores your profile information, trip data, saved ideas, and preference settings. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling and retention.
Troubleshooting
Check your internet connection first. Roamly auto-saves your changes, so recent edits should reappear once connectivity is restored. If the issue persists after refreshing the page, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. Make sure no browser extensions (like ad blockers) are blocking map resources. If the issue continues in an incognito window, contact support with your browser and OS details.
Changes sync in real time but there can be a brief delay on slower connections. Refresh the page to force a sync. Also verify that your collaborator has edit permissions — view-only users cannot make changes.
Make sure you've set a destination for your trip. Recommendations are destination-specific. If you've set a destination and still see nothing, try refreshing or checking your internet connection.
Check your spam or junk folder first. Make sure your email address is verified in Settings. If you use a corporate email, your organization's mail filters may be blocking messages from roamly.io.
Email support@roamly.io with a description of the issue, the steps to reproduce it, and a screenshot if possible. Include your browser name and version to help us investigate quickly.
